It's nthing unusual fr peple t multitask nwadays. But the ability t d a number f things at the same time culd be different between the tw sexes.
A team f UK researchers recently cmpared the perfrmances f 120 wmen and 120 men in a cmputer test abut switching(转换) between tasks f cunting and shape recgnitin.
Men equalled wmen when tasks were dne ne at a time. But when the tasks were mixed up, there was a clear difference. Accrding t the paper published in the jurnal BMC Psychlgy, bth wmen and men slwed dwn and made mre mistakes as the switching became mre rapid. But men were slwer, taking 77 percent lnger t answer, while wmen tk 69 percent lnger.

A grup f wmen and men were given eight minutes t cmplete a series f everyday tasks, such as finding restaurants n a map, ding simple math prblems, answering a phne call, r deciding hw they wuld search fr a lst key in a field.
Once again, wmen perfrmed better than men in the test, especially in the keysearching task.
