As a child, I had a library phbia (恐惧症). I assciated ging t the library with ding research fr a schl prject r a bk reprt. T assist the prcess, Kim Williams-Guillén f Pas Pacific, an American cnservatin charity, and Helen Pheasey f the University f Kent, in Britain, have cme up with a practical device. It is a glbal-psitining-system transmitter（发射机）placed in a plastic shell made by 3D printing. The result lks like a turtle’s egg and weighs abut the same. Dug up and carried away by pachers, it can lead the plice t thse pachers’ bases f peratin.
As they reprt this week in Current Bilgy, Dr. Williams-Guillén and Dr. Pheasey have nw tested their inventin in Csta Rica, a place where turtle-egg paching is cmmn. Mrs. Prudft clapped her hands in agreement, “That can’t be better! I’ve been wrried abut Rland lately. He des need sme exercise! It’s nice f yu t make such an ffer.”
