Step 1 Lead-in by watching a vide t d the warm-up activity
Befre class, the teacher plays a vide abut table manners arund the wrld, with the wrds f the sentences printed n the screen.
Then tell them: In this vide, there are many table manners arund the wrld. It is very clear that different cuntries may have different manners in the table. S the questin is, d yu knw sme f the table manners in China r freign cuntries? Can yu shw smething t us?
(In France, peple put their bread n the table. But in China, we always put ur fd n a plate r in a bwl. We never put fd n the table.)
Step 2 Drilling: Pre-reading
Ask the students what d yu think is the biggest challenge when visiting a freign cuntry. Shw sme challenges they may encunter.
Step 3 Drilling 2: While-reading
1) Task 1: Fast reading fr skimming
Ss will be given 5 minutes t read the letter and then discuss the main idea with the whle class.

2) Task 2: Scanning
Ss are asked t read the letter quickly and find ut tpic sentences f each paragraph.
