一、Teaching content:
Listen and read:
I’m Mary. I live in Scotland. My home town is a beautiful place, and there is a big castle on the lake. I like reading and writing very much. I keep a diary every day. In my diary I write about my , family, my good friends, my feelings and my dreams. “Keep a diary, and someday it’ll keep you.” That is my favourite saying. Look, this is from my first diary. I wrote at seven.
二、Teaching aims:
- Knowledge: learn the words: diary, castle, lake, wrote, went, ate. Understand :“Keep a diary, and someday it’ll keep you.” Learn the text and the diary.
- Skills: Understand, listen and read the text. Know how to write a diary
- Emotion: Keep a hobby of writing diaries; remember some favourtie saying.

Step 1.Warming up
- Sing a song
T:Nice to meet you. Do you like English songs?
Let’s sing a song—How’s the weather?
- Talk about the weather.
T: What’s the weather like in Beijing/Ha’erbin? (S:)
T: How’s the weather in Wuhan?(S:)
- Show a diary , learn the word “ diary ”.
T: How’s the weather in the diary? (S:)
T: What’s this? Do you write a diary on QQ/ WeChat/ Weibo? (S:)
T: Do you write a diary every day?(S:)
4.Learn some favourite sayings.
T:I write my diary on WeChat. Keep a diary and someday it’ll keep you.
Read some sayings.

Step2.Presention.
Task1 Learn a diary.
- Listen to the music and read the diary.
T: What’s this? Ss: Mary’s diary.
T: What does the diary talk about?
Ss: Her friends, food, feelings and weather.
- Find the past tense in the diary.
Was/ ate/ went/wrote, match the words.
Learn how to write a diary.
T: When you write the things happened, please use past tense.
- Read the diary emotionally.
Some students read the diary.

Cooperate and write a diary in groups.
【设计意图:渗透写日记的格式、时态和方法,同时通过小组合作写日记的方式,创造性地让学生现场完成一篇动态日记。】
