Smewhere in the Atlantic Ocean, 1862. The captain sighed. This was the thickest fg he had ever seen. They were ver 330 kilmetres frm the clsest land, s he didn’t knw where t g. The ship was n its way t Eurpe. Just ten hurs ag they left New Yrk, but nw the engine stpped wrking. Clearly, they needed help!
Suddenly, the captain remembered the hming pigens. He ran t them quickly, wrte a message fr help, and tied it t Big Blue’s leg. Big Blue flew up and then returned almst right away. The captain became mre wrried.
“Yu are ur last hpe, little guy,” said the captain as he tied a nte t Arny, the smaller and yunger f the tw pigens. The captain threw him int the air. Arny flew arund and arund, higher and higher. Sn, the bird was away frm the ship, and the captain culdn’t see Arny anymre. “That’s a gd sign,” said the captain with mre hpe. Almst 340 kilmetres away, Billy heard fast-mving wings cme int his building and g straight t the water bwl.
