      “Right nw, we make 400 t 500 rbts every year,” said Qu Yan, wh is in charge f media relatins at Ex-Rbts. “Our cmpany designs rbts that lk mre like humans, with better facial expressins and the ability t have an emtinal interactin (互动) with users. S we call them emtinal interactin rbts. At the mment, these rbts are mainly used in museums, research centers and universities. Hwever, nce their prices get lwer and mre peple can affrd them, they culd be used in mre situatins,” Qu Yan said.
      Human-like rbts are getting mre and mre attentin in China, bth frm cmmn peple and the gvernment. At the shw, different tech cmpanies shwed very lifelike rbts that culd walk fast, dance, and even make cffee. A grup f peple gathered t watch a demnstratin by a 130 cm-tall human-like rbt shwing what it culd d, like greeting peple, shaking hands, ding Tai Chi and making heart gestures. “The need fr human-like rbts culd be mre than 10 billin in the future,” said Tan, a rbtics expert. “Each persn might wn at least three t five rbts t d different things, like helping with husewrk, giving care, and having cnversatins.”
