      celebrate this special day with me. I’d als like t thank my gd friend David Arnld fr rganizing this wnderful party. My 20 years wrking at the university has been the happiest time in my life. I’ve been s lucky t have wrked with s many gd peple. I am very happy that Anne Sharp will be taking ver my psitin. She is a very experienced prfessr, and I am encuraged t see she has such a passin fr this imprtant jb. I’d als like t cngratulate her fr getting married. Anne, I wish yu a lng and happy life, and I hpe yu enjy yur hneymn in France. Finally, I’d like t thank Craig Andersn. It was he wh had cnvinced me t wrk here, therwise I wuld have becme a lawyer. S what will I d with myself nw? As yu knw, I’m interested in language learning. I already speak Spanish, s my next plan is t learn Chinese. My wife and I will g t China this summer.
