Fr my favurite English bk, I've chsen Shakespeare's play Hamlet. Shakespeare wrte the play arund 1600. The stry is abut a prince named Hamlet frm Denmark. After the sudden death f his father, Hamlet's uncle Claudius became the new king and married Hamlet's mther Gertrude. This made Hamlet extremely upset. One night, Hamlet met the ghst f his father, wh tld him that Claudius had murdered him.
Hamlet decided t seek revenge. He pretended t be crazy t spy n Claudius and tried t prve his guilt. Althugh he eventually killed Claudius, Hamlet als died in the end. It is a famus tragedy abut thught, actin, and human emtin.

Mther: Nils, we're ging ut. Make sure yu study, and dn't be mean t the farm animals.Nils: I haven't been mean t the animals in ages.Father: Yesterday yu pulled the cat's tail. Mther: And yu ran after the hens.
Father: And we've just caught yu thrwing shes at the cw.Nils:[Laughing.] Okay. I prmise t be gd![Nils's parents shake their heads and leave. Nils sighs and sits dwn.]Nils: Reading is s bring! I haven't had any fun fr s lng. I wish smething wuld happen.
[An elf enters quietly thrugh the frnt dr. Nils sees it.]
Nils: An elf! l've never seen ne f thse befre ... l'm ging t catch it!
[Nils catches the elf.]
Elf: [Screaming.] Let me g! I'll give yu an ld cin.Nils: l'm nt sure ... What else have yu gt?Elf: A silver spn ... and a big gld cin!Nils: Okay ... I culd let yu g.Elf: Thank yu!Nils: But actually, I dn't think I will. Cme here!
[There is a lud BANG, and Nils falls ver. When he gets up, the elf has disappeared, and Nils has becme smaller. The elf has turned him int anther elf!]
