Activity 1: Read, circle and analyse
Read the sentences in 4a and circle the adjectives which cmpare things. Underline the adverbs which cmpare actins.
What is the difference between “tall” and “taller”? What abut “taller” and “tallest”?
比较级常用句型：①  A + be + 比较级 + than + B表示“A比B更……”，是最基础的两者比较结构。This apple is bigger than that ne.（这个苹果比那个大。）②  比较级 + and + 比较级表示“越来越……”，强调程度逐渐变化。The city is becming mre and mre beautiful.（这座城市变得越来越美。）③  The + 比较级 + f the tw...表示“两者中更……的那个”，比较级前需加定冠词the。 He is the taller f the tw bys.（他是两个男孩中更高的那个。）

比较级常用句型：④ 疑问词 + be + 比较级，A r B?用于选择疑问句，比较两者中哪一个更……。 Which is better, tea r cffee?（茶和咖啡，哪个更好？）⑤  The + 比较级 + 句子，the + 比较级 + 句子表示“越……，就越……”，前半句是条件，后半句是结果。 The harder yu study, the better grades yu will get.（你学习越努力，成绩就会越好。）⑥ 修饰比较级的词可在比较级前加程度副词，如 much（……得多）、a little（稍微）、even（甚至）、far（远……）等。This stry is much mre interesting than that ne.（这个故事比那个有趣得多。）She is a little taller than me.（她比我稍微高一点。）
最高级常用句型： ① 主语 + be + the + 形容词最高级 + 表示范围的短语/从句 （说明在某一范围内“最……”）She is the tallest girl in ur class.（她是我们班最高的女生。）② 疑问词 + be + the + 最高级 + 范围，A, B r C? （用于选择疑问句，询问三者中“最……的是哪一个”）Which is the biggest, the sun, the mn r the earth?（太阳、月亮、地球，哪个最大？）③ ne f + the + 形容词最高级 + 可数名词复数（表示“最……之一”）Beijing is ne f the mst beautiful cities in the wrld.（北京是世界上最美丽的城市之一。）
最高级常用句型：④ the + 序数词 + 形容词最高级 + 名词（表示“第几最……的……”）The Yellw River is the secnd lngest river in China.（黄河是中国第二长河。）⑤ 比较级和最高级的转换（1）A is + 比较级 + than any ther + 单数名词 + in/f... （A比范围内其他任何一个都……）Tm is taller than any ther student in his class.（2）A is + 比较级 + than the ther + 复数名词 + in/f... （A比范围内其他所有都）Tm is taller than the ther students in his class.（3）最高级：A is + the + 最高级 + in/f... Tm is the tallest student in his class.
