      Hw d animals recgnize (识别) human faces? Chinese-American scientist Dris Tsa studied this and wn a high US science prize fr her findings.
      Tsa’s team at the Califrnia Institute f Technlgy has been experimenting with mnkeys. They fund that there are 200 nerve cells (神经细胞) in the mnkeys’ brains that help them recgnize faces. Each cell can recgnize a different facial trait, such as the shape f the face, the distance between the eyes r the clr f the skin. With all the infrmatin, mnkeys can build a picture f a face in their minds.
      Thrugh this study, the scientists discvered hw mnkeys “see” human faces in their minds. After they shwed the mnkeys pictures f different human faces, they recrded their brain activity. Then, the scientists studied this brain activity with the help f cmputer sftware and recreated the faces that the mnkeys “saw” in their minds. When they cmpared the cmputer-made faces t the real phts the mnkeys saw, they lked very similar, the BBC reprted.
