Mst peple agree that animals have feelings, but they are nt sure if these feelings are crrectly understd. In recent years, scientists have dne in-depth research n the emtinal (情感的) lives f different animals, frm cws and frgs t pandas. Nw, a fascinating new study has given us new infrmatin abut chickens-it shws that humans can tell if a chicken is happy r sad just by listening t its calls.

Surprisingly, 69% f the vlunteers crrectly judged whether the chickens were happy r sad. And many f these vlunteers had n experience f raising chickens at all.
The result shws that humans have the ability t understand chickens’ feelings. And this ability is natural, nt smething we learn. Fr the wrld's chicken-raising industry (行业), this finding culd bring new technlgies. Sme scientists are already wrking n a smart cmputer prgram that can quickly identify (识别) chickens’ emtins thrugh their calls. It helps farmers take better care f their chickens, keep the birds happier and healthier, and even imprve the quality f their prducts.
