      An artist f Brazil, Vik Muniz, uses everyday bjects in unusual ways. Thrugh his art, Muniz makes peple think differently abut their everyday lives — even their wn rubbish.
      In 2007, Muniz wrked n a tw-year prject at Jardim Gramach, ne f the wrld’s largest landfills (填埋场) at that time. Until it was clsed in 2012, Jardim Gramach received abut 70 percent f the rubbish frm Ri de Janeir (里约热内卢). Abut 3,000 rubbish pickers, knwn as catadres, wrked there. Their jb was t hunt thrugh the rubbish fr recyclable cans, bttles, and ther materials. They then made mney by selling the bjects t recycling cmpanies.
      The catadres’ wrk was dirty, dangerus and prly paid. N matter hw hard the cnditins were, many catadres were prud f their wrk. They tried t explain t peple that recycling prevents great harm t nature and the envirnment. Even ne single can will make a difference.
      Muniz became friends with the catadres. They allwed him t take their phts at the landfill, where they psed fr artistic prtraits (艺术肖像). Fr example, Muniz tk a pht f a landfill wrker in the style f a famus French painting. The wrkers then helped Muniz create huge images (图像) f these phts n the flr. They used materials frm the landfill t add clrs and depth (深度) t the images.

      Labur educatin has entered every schl. It ffers students chances t get in tuch with nature and learn life skills.
      If yu and yur classmates want t plant smething in yur schl garden, yu need t make a garden plan. It helps yu make sure that each plant has the space it needs t grw.
      Steps t fllw:
      ◆First, check a seed catalg (种子目录) r a gardening guide t learn what will grw well in yur garden. List the plants yu will grw.
      ◆Secnd, check the seed catalg r the gardening guide t learn hw much space each plant needs.

      ◆Finally, decide which plant yu want t grw the mst. Mark ut the space n yur map fr that plant. Add the ther plants if space allws. When yur plan is dne, yu can start planting.
