Peple wh have truble walking r mving arund ften have a hard time enjying the beach. But hundreds f beaches in Greece nw ffer a new slutin called Seatrac, which allws peple in wheelchairs t get int the water n their wn.
Seatrac is basically a chair n a mving walkway that can smthly (平稳地) carry a disabled persn int the sea. Once in the sea, the persn can either remain in the chair, enjying the water, r g fr a swim. The chair can be cntrlled frm a lng distance (距离). When the persn is ready t get ut f the water, the Seatrac system (系统) brings the chair back t the tp f the walkway.
Seatrac was invented and develped in Greece. The idea fr it came when ne f the inventrs, Ftiu, was talking with a friend wh used a wheelchair. The friend expressed his enjyment f the sea but disliked being carried int the cean like “a bag f ptates”. Ftiu realized there must be a way t make it easier fr wheelchair users t get int the water. He wrked with his partners t design the system, finally frming a cmpany called TOBEA t build and sell the system.
TOBEA wrks n making the system simple t put in place and easy t cntrl. A wden walkway allws wheelchair users t reach Seatrac. The system is slar-pwered (太阳能的) and can cntinue t run even if the electricity ges ut. The Seatrac system can be easily packed up and stred when the swimming seasn ends.
Greece has decided t pen 287 beaches fr peple with disabilities. 140 beaches have set up the system and the remaining 147 will build the system in the future. The new Seatrac service is being prvided fr free t help attract mre turists t the cuntry. TOBEA will ffer a website shwing where beaches with the special service can be fund. Tea finally reached Eurpe in the 1600s, alng with the necessary tea sets made in Japan and China.
