In a lively martial arts (武术) club in Akpr-Misserete, Benin (贝宁), the sund f feet hitting the grund and cries f “Hay-Hah!” fill the air. Damien Degb, 53, teaches his students kung fu and tai chi there. Fr him, Chinese martial arts are mre than just exercise. They’re a way f life and a bridge between Benin and China.
At the age f 13, Degb watched Chinese martial arts mvies in Benin’s capital. He lved hw these actrs fught with beauty and pwer. That’s when his lve f kung fu began.
