      “It seems that psitive feelings may reduce the danger f illness,” said the study’s leader researcher Sheldn Chen.
      In an earlier study, Chen fund that peple wh were cheerful and lively caught cughs and clds less ften. Peple wh shwed feelings were als less likely t tell their dctrs that they felt ill.
      In this study, Chen’s team interviewed 193 adults every day fr tw weeks. During the interviews, the peple tld researchers abut the happy r sad feelings they had that day.

      Sitting in my car, I was watching dlphins swim in the cean. It was such an enjyment. Suddenly I saw mre and mre dlphins becme beached (搁浅的) after the tide (潮水) went ut. That was t dangerus. Thse dlphins needed help- and fast.
      Withut thinking t much, I jumped ff my car and ran tward them. I first called the plice, but their hands were far and away. On the beach hardly a persn culd be seen. Fr thse dlphins, it was a life-r-death mment. Nt knwing what t d, I turned t the Internet fr help, hping peple nearby culd see my pst and cme t rescue thse lvely animals.
      Minutes later, three teenage bys f a nearby schl were the first t arrive. Then mre and mre peple arrived after that. With directin frm fishermen, abut 40 vlunteers were able t get t wrk n digging, pulling and bringing smaller dlphins t deeper waters.
      Hwever, t everyne’s surprise, n dlphin left by itself after it gt free. When the tide began t rise, the dlphins chirped (唧唧叫) t encurage each ther. The dlphins stayed where they were in the water until the rescue was cmplete. Once all 16 dlphins were set free, they sn returned t their cean hme tgether.
