Scientists at Stanfrd University have created a liquid (液体) that allws them t see thrugh a muse. The liquid is made with tartrazine— a yellw-range clring that is ften used in fds.
The scientists mixed tartrazine with water and tested this mixture n very thin pieces f chicken. The chicken began t turn clear. Then, the researchers decided t try the clring n the living mice. First, they get the hair f the mice ut f the way. Then, the applied the mixture t the surface f the mice. In just a few minutes, the mice became see-thrugh. Using the mixture, the scientists were able t see inside a muse’s brain. When the mixture was washed ff, the skin gt back t the way it was.
T understand hw the new discvery wrks, it’s helpful t think abut hw light travels thrugh different materials. Light travels in a straight line, unless it runs int smething. Then, it usually bends (弯曲). Glass is easy t see thrugh because light nly takes a small bend when it ges thrugh the glass.
But a human bdy isn’t like glass. Our bdy is made f lts f different things, each f which sends light bending in different ways. This makes it hard t see thrugh ur bdy.
