Gra and his team saw mre f these trees that grew well after lightning strikes. S, they did a study. They fllwed 93 trees struck by lightning fr 2—6 years. They fund that all 9 Dipteryx leifera trees in the study survived with little harm. But 84 ther trees were badly hurt, and 64% f them died within tw years.
These Dipteryx leifera trees are very tall and have wide tps, making them 68% mre likely t be struck by lightning than ther trees. During the study, ne f the Dipteryx trees was struck twice in 5 years yet cntinued t grw well.
At present, mre studies suggest that these trees attract (吸引) lightning n purpse t destry ther trees and grw better. This helps the htel save mney but is bad fr guests.
