5W(what, wh, when, where, why)要素。
特别是解答推论或暗指类的题目,比如“What can be inferred frm …?”或是What des the authr imply in…?”

根据画线单词句中“visits by the mailbx, running int ne anther at the gas statin where she helped me put air in my tire, quiet talks at the funeral hme where we went t hnr the memry f a mutual (相互的) friend”(在邮箱旁碰到,在加油站偶遇,她帮我给轮胎充气,在殡仪馆安静地交谈,我们去那里纪念一位共同的朋友)可知,我和泰勒夫人都是在没有准备的情况下偶遇的,例如在邮箱旁碰到,在加油站偶遇等,由此可知,我和泰勒夫人的大部分对话都是在无准备的情况下进行的,“unprepared”意为“没有准备的”,能够表达画线单词在句中所要表达的意思。故选B项。
根据第三段关键句“When my husband and I mved here with ur fur nisy, laughing kids, it must have seemed as if the peaceful quiet f the neighbrhd had been frever brken. But we shwed ur enthusiasm t the neighbrs sincerely althugh.”(当我和丈夫带着四个吵闹、大笑的孩子搬到这里时,这个社区的宁静似乎永远被打破了。
根据第一段关键句“Mrs Taylr and I had been neighbrs fr 17 years.”(泰勒夫人和我做了17年的邻居。)和第三段关键句“Over the years they helped us lve ur children, picking them up when a bicycle verturned and sending the kids cards fr their graduatin.”(多年来,他们帮助我们爱我们的孩子,在自行车翻车时把他们抱起来,并给孩子们寄毕业贺卡。) 故选A项。
