根据第二段中“Called Vegavis iaai, it belngs t a species f waterfwl (birds that include ducks, geese, and swans) that lived at the same time as dinsaurs like Tyrannsaurus rex. Only the duck-like species survived when all dinsaurs that were nt avian died ut abut 66 millin years ag.
根据第三段中“The mystery f Vegavis iaai began in 1993, when researchers discvered the fssil f a bird n Vega Island in Antarctica. It did nt have a skull, which made it difficult t fully identify. 故选A。
根据第五段中“The researchers created a digital 3D mdel f the Vegavis iaai skull, which shwed that its brain was shaped like the brains f tday’s ducks and geese. Hwever, it had a lng, narrw beak and pwerful jaw muscles that made it different frm waterfwl and mre like mdern birds that dive and catch fish.
根据第六段中“Other scientists are nt cnvinced, hwever, and argue that mre fssils f the species are needed t fully cnfirm the findings. (然而,其他科学家并不信服,并认为需要更多该物种的化石来完全证实这一发现)”以及最后一段中“Trres and his clleagues understand that there is mre wrk t be dne t supprt their findings and that their cnclusins are cntrversial.

If explaining cmplex material t yurself is s effective fr learning, then why desn’t everyne d it? This issue was explred in a 2025 paper in the Jurnal f Experimental Psychlgy: General by Stav Atir and Jane Risen.
Their studies expsed peple t infrmatin abut a cmplex tpic, such as hw GPS wrks. In general, they find that peple wh explain the material they have seen back t themselves d better n a later test f knwledge than thse wh just review their ntes.
In several studies, participants are expsed t the material and then are asked what methd they wuld prefer t use t study this material fr a later test. They can chse t explain the infrmatin back t themselves r t review their ntes. The better participants believe that they already understand the material, the mre likely they are t state that they prefer t explain the infrmatin back t themselves rather than reviewing their ntes.
This finding suggests that peple are cncerned that the explanatin task will be difficult and that they will nt enjy ding it. This is particularly true when peple have a feeling that they d nt understand the material that well. One study in this series later randmly assigned peple t the tw methds. Even peple wh stated they did nt want t explain the material back t themselves did better n the test when they did give this explanatin rather than just reviewing the material.
      32. What is the benefit f creating “desirable difficulties” in learning?

      B. Getting rid f discuragement.
      C. Making cmplex tpics easier t grasp.

      A. Reviewing ntes is mre enjyable than self-explanatin.
      B. Self-explanatin is universally preferred by cnfident learners.
      C. Even unwilling participants benefited frm frced self-explanatin.
      D. Participants avided self-explanatin due t its prven ineffectiveness.
      34. What can be inferred abut learners wh chse nte-reviewing ver self-explanatin?

      B. They verestimated the rle f desirable difficulties in learning.
      C. They are mre cnfident in their understanding f the material.
      D. They lack cnfidence in their ability t explain cmplex ideas.
      35. Which f the fllwing is the best title fr the text?
