W: In 1847, when Twain was 12,his father died. The next year, he began t learn printing. When he was 18, he wrked as a printer in New Yrk City. Then n a vyage t New Orleans, steambat pilt Hrace inspired Twain t becme a pilt. Twain thught it rewarding t be a pilt and he studied 2,000 miles f the Mississippi fr mre than tw years befre he received his steambat pilt license in1859.This ccupatin gave him his pen name, Mark Twain, frm “mark twain”, the riverbat call.

M: Gd evening, everyne. I'm yur ld friend Tm Brwn. Trains have been running in Switzerland fr 175 years. In late Octber, a festival was held t celebrate that fact. As part f the celebratin, a Swiss railway cmpany decided t set the recrd fr the wrld’s lngest passenger train. The 100-car train that the cmpany ran was 1.2 miles lng. The train fllwed the famus Albula Line, which is knwn fr its turns, tunnels, and bridges, as it rlls thrugh the Swiss muntains. The train tk 7 engineers and 21 ther specially trained wrkers t run it. All sectins f the train had t be kept running at exactly the same speed. T help the engineers talk t each ther, the railway set up a special phne system.
