On Nvember 7, Lewis Pugh cmpleted a ne-kilmeter swim in the freezing waters f King Edward Cve, ff Suth Gergia in Antarctica. He was wearing nly his swimming glasses, cap and speeds!

It tk Pugh abut 19 minutes t cmplete the ne-kilmeter swim in Antarctica where the water averaged abut 1.6 degrees Celsius . He says that his bdy can nly tlerate abut 20 minutes in the freezing waters befre it starts shutting dwn. As he swims, his bdy temperature steadily drps, which in turn causes his muscle cntrl t drp, slwing him dwn. When he is dne with his swim, his supprt team rushes him t a ht shwer and it takes almst an hur fr his bdy temperature t return t nrmal.

Thugh certain Canadian expressins sund very different frm ur Nrth American neighbr, they share the same riginal language because bth served as clnies(殖民地)f the frmer British Empire. This cultural heritage(遗产)survives thrugh speech and language.
Unlike American English, mst Canadian spellings are similar t the British wrds. In the US, wrds like "harbur" and "clur" are spelled withut the "u". Even s, sme wrds changed in Canada, like "aluminum(铝)". British peple spell and prnunce this wrd as "aluminium".
As a result, Canadian English has develped an identity f its wn. Fr instance, we cannt frget the mst imprtant wrd in Canadian English: srry. While it isn't really the mst imprtant wrd, Canadians have a reputatin fr being plite and friendly. I, fr ne, want t prtect that reputatin and hnr my Canadian rts, even while I'm in the United States.
