Peering ut the windw, she saw tw yung ladies seriusly hlding leaflets and a TV set mdel. She knew a large TV set establishment nearby and assumed a message was abut t be delivered. “This is the last thing I need tday,” she muttered t herself and hesitantly pened the dr.
    Cughing, she pked her head ut and impatiently infrmed them that she wasn’t the slightest bit interested in any TV prducts. Furthermre, she added, she was feeling quite unwell and abruptly shut the dr. The ladies plitely turned and left in silence. A few hurs later, the same tw ladies were back again. Really annyed this time, she pened the dr ready t give them a piece f her mind. Befre she culd speak, these wmen, with cncerned lks n their faces, handed Alice a dish, saying “We’re s srry we disturbed yu earlier. We thught yu may like this hmemade chicken sup. Hpefully it might make yu feel better.” Alice was surprised by this lvely gesture. Being new t the area, she didn’t knw many neighbrs r peple wh culd assist her with shpping s the gesture was really appreciated. She culd nly smile embarrassedly and sincerely thanked them. With that, the ladies left.
    After Alice tld this stry t me, I thught abut hw tuching this deed was. Especially in tday’s wrld where sadly, kindness and thughtfulness seem s rare. I als realized that thinking abut thers and shwing kindness is the real essence f lve.
