Withut depending n limited resurces such as land and fresh water Sundrp Farms has made farming a practice. This can increase the wrld’s fd supplies. Anther benefit f this kind f farming is that it can be dne anywhere, thus reducing the csts f transprting fd t distant lcatins. Yet anther benefit is that it reduces the need fr pesticides (杀虫剂).
Anther experimental desert farm is the Sahara Frest Prject, which began in Qatar in December 2012. Greenhuses in the farm are cled by saltwater. Slar pwer and ther technlgies are used tgether t help make vegetatin (植被) grw in the desert envirnment. They painted large eyes n the rear ends f ne grup f cws. The secnd grup gt simple Xs. The final grup gt nthing. The eyes wrked well. Of the 683 cws with eyes painted n them, nne were killed in the fur-year perid.Fifteen f the 835 cws with nthing n their backsides were killed.
