Facial expressins carry meaning that is determined by situatins and relatinships. Fr example, in American culture the smile is in general an expressin f pleasure. Yet it als has ther uses. Our faces shw emtins, but we shuld nt attempt t “read” peple frm anther culture as we wuld “read” smene frm ur wn culture.
