Artificial intelligence is making its way int classrms, suggesting a future where educatin is mre persnalized and active. AI’s ability t custmize learning and prvide immediate feedback culd change hw students learn, making educatin mre effective and attracting.
Schls glbally are starting t see the benefits f AI. Fr example, adaptive learning platfrms can nw tailr lessns t each student’s pace and style f learning, imprving engagement and understanding. Hwever, there’s a ntable cncern raised alngside these advancements —the AI divide, r the grwing gap between thse wh have access t advanced AI tls and thse wh d nt. A 2023 reprt by the Educatinal Data Trust fund that wealthier schl districts are three times mre likely t have adpted AI-pwered learning platfrms cmpared t the under-resurced districts. We dn’t knw what this technlgy will lk like 10 years frm nw, but the current trend shuts ut pr districts. It’s in the big dg’s best interest t d s, but it sucks anyways.
Addressing the AI divide requires a cncerted effrt. Plicymakers have the pwer t level the playing field by supprting AI accessibility in all schls. Schls and educatrs have a rle t play t. They must train their students t use AI as a tl. They can fster partnerships t share AI resurces and fcus n building universally essential skills like critical thinking and digital literacy. Tech cmpanies and cmmunity grups have rles t play as well, such as ffering AI expertise and supprt t schls lacking resurces.
AI in educatin has bth advantages and disadvantages, with the prmise f transfrmative(带来变革的)learning cming alngside the risk f deepening divides. As we accept AI’s ptential, we must als make sure that it serves as a tl fr t help everyne, paving the way fr a future where every student has the pprtunity t succeed.

Kids are even mre in the bag f scial media cmpanies than we think. Many f them have given away their nline autnmy fully t their phnes. Fr them, the nly acceptable nline envirnment is ne designed by big tech algrithms(算法).
As children’s free time and imaginatins becme mre and mre tightly jined t the scial media, we need t understand that uncntrlled access t the Internet cmes at a cst. This spring, I visited with a grup f high schl students in Cnnecticut t have a cnversatin abut the rle that scial media plays in their daily lives and in their mental health. Mre children tday reprt feeling depressed, lnely, and discnnected than ever befre.
There are cuntless prblems with children and teenagers using scial media. But the high schlers with whm I met alerted me t a hidden result f teenagers’ grwing addictin t scial media: the death f explratin and discvery. Algrithmic recmmendatins nw d the wrk f discvering and pursuing interests, finding cmmunity, and learning abut the wrld. Kids tday are, simply put, nt learning hw t be curius, critical adults—and they dn’t seem t knw what they’ve lst.
We all knw the jurneys in life matter just as much as the destinatins. It is the sweat t get the utcme that makes the utcme mre fulfilling and satisfying.
What the kids I spke t did nt knw is that these algrithms have been designed in a way that unavidably makes and keeps users unhappy. Scial media cmpanies knw that cntent that generates negative feelings hlds ur attentin lnger than that which makes us feel gd. If yu are a teenager feeling bad abut yurself, yur scial media feed will keep delivering yu vides and pictures that are likely t prduce negative feelings.
We shuld take sme measures. Teenagers and kids are t be inspired t determine if we will really be happier as a species when machines and algrithms d all the wrk fr us, r if fulfillment nly cmes when humans actually d the wrk, searching and discvering, f being human.
32.We can learn frm paragraph 1 that scial media cmpanies ______.
    A.earn a lt f mney frm kids
    B.have a great impact n kids
C.make kids give away their phnes
    D.prvide necessary services t kids
33.Accrding t the authr, what is the result f children’s addictin t scial media?
A.They becme mre dependent n their phnes.
B.They feel less depressed and lnely than ever befre.
C.They are unable t find cmmunity and learn abut the wrld.
D.They gradually lse the ability t be curius and critical.
34.Why d scial media cmpanies prefer cntent that generates negative feelings?
A.It helps them gain mre attentin frm users.
B.It makes users feel mre satisfied with their prducts.
C.It encurages users t explre and discver new things.
D.It prmtes the develpment f artificial intelligence.
35.What shuld be dne t change the current situatin?
A.Limit the use f scial media fr children and teenagers.
B.Inspire children t cmplete the wrk withut the help f algrithms.
C.Encurage teenagers and children t explre and discver the cntentment f life.
D.Redesign scial media algrithms t make users happier and mre fulfilled.
