Fr the study Islami and his team fllwed mre than 50,000 peple aged between 40 and 75 years ld. They fund 317 f thse peple had esphageal cancer. The Natinal Cancer Institute reprted that abut 17,290 Americans had esphageal cancer in a year and that nly abut 19% f sick peple survived. Hwever, five years later, they died.
The scientists fund that drinking 700ml drinks (abut three cups) every day r mre at a higher temperature (温度)(60℃r htter) wuld have a 90% higher risk f having esphageal cancer, cmpared (比较) with peple drinking the same quantity at a temperature belw 60℃.
