Spring lifts ur spirits. It's a time fr Nature t bring us back t life after a cld seasn. I live nt far frm the Kairaku Park, which is ne f the largest gardens in Japan, and famus fr its near 10,000 plum trees. I am frtunate t have them all utside my backyard, and take advantage f the walking paths daily.
I see the same trees and swans every day, but that day was different. At the edge f the small lake, I saw sme new-brn black swans. They were pretty and cute. They stayed with their mm. While taking a few phts f the sunset, I was interrupted by a high sund ging n fr sme time. S I turned arund and saw ne little swan was stuck by tw stnes. Its mther was trying t make it ut but failed. I tried t get near but the mther was ever s angry! She wuldn't allw me t get clse, s I turned t an ld man sitting n the bench and said, "Excuse me, the swan baby can't mve and I want t help it, but the mther is extremely angry! After hearing my wrds, the man smiled at me first and then agreed t help me. He drve the mther away with great effrts, and fr several times, he was almst hurt by the mther. After seeing the mvie, Washingtn State University physicist Michael Allen and University f Idah fd scientist Helen Jyner decided t carry ut a case study helping students figure ut hw t farm n Mars. In the case study, students had t imagine they were mining n Mars and decide hw t feed themselves there befre starting n the jurney. Peking pera, knwn as China's natinal pera, is a cmbinatin f music, dance and art and is widely regarded as a full expressin f Chinese culture. Tday, this art frm is facing the danger f extinctin as the yunger generatin is mstly interested in pp culture.
A Peking pera prject fr primary and secndary schls was launched by China's Ministry f Educatin. But it has met with a cld reactin frm the public.
