In the study, Chinese scientists put 342 adults with prehypertensin int tw grups. The average age f peple taking part in the study was 49. Abut half the participants (参与者) tk part in aerbic exercise, including jgging, climbing stairs and cycling. The ther half was trained t practice tai chi. Nearly 22% f the peple wh practiced tai chi saw their bld pressure fall t be nrmal, cmpared with nearly 16% f peple in the aerbic exercise grup. And fewer patients in the tai chi grup went n t develp high bld pressure than patients in the aerbic exercise grup.
