The Hangzhu Asian Games (亚运会) ended in Octber, 2023. It was wnderful. This was the third time that China had hsted the Asian Games. Lking back, we have many excellent memries f the three Asian Games in China.
In 1990, China hsted its first Asian Games in Beijing. The Beijing Asian Games were the first internatinal cmprehensive sprting event in China’s histry. Chinese peple did a lt in preparatin fr the Asian Games. New stadiums, rads, and htels were built. What made many Chinese peple prud during the Asian Games was that fr the first time in histry, China ranked first in the number f medals (奖牌).
Fast frward t 2010, and Guangzhu became the secnd Chinese city t hst the Asian Games. There were many new buildings such as the famus Cantn Twer. Mre than 12,000 athletes frm 45 cuntries and regins in Asia tk part in 42 events. The Guangzhu Asian Games were a huge success.
In the Guangzhu Asian Games, there were 40 sprts events, including sme new nes such as the e-sprts cmpetitins. Like the imprvements seen in Beijing and Guangzhu, Guangzhu als built many new stadiums. And during the Asian Games, advanced technlgies such as 5G, the digital trchbearer (数字火炬手), and surprised lts f peple.
