Thirty-five years ag, with just ne acre f land, a cuple f seeds and a bucket f hpe, ne Nigerian-brn scientist began his missin t defeat famine (饥荒) n his cntinent.
News f the drught acrss Africa in the early 1980s trubled Nzamuj. Equipped with a micrbilgy PhD and his faith he travelled back t Africa. There, he fund a cntinent eclgically rich, diverse and capable f prducing fd. He believes drught wasn’t the nly reasn fr widespread hunger, and that sustainability had been left ut.
Nzamuj began designing a “zer waste” agriculture system that wuld nt nly increase fd security, but als help the envirnment and create jbs. In 1985, he started his sustainable farm “Snghai” in the West African cuntry f Benin.
Nzamaj lives n the farm and cnstantly updates his techniques. He credits his degrees in science and engineering fr Snghai’s success. But he als thanks his spiritual and cultural rts, and his father — a driving frce in his life wh encuraged him t pursue his studies t the highest degree and t use Snghai t share his knwledge.

Cikgu Azam wrked in an IT department. At the same time, he had a side jb where he prepared activities fr schl children with special needs.
