My earliest reading memry takes me back t being five years ld, sitting in my grandfather’s czy study. He wuld read t me frm his French-translated cpy f Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Bk. I was s familiar with the stries that I culd crrect him wrd-fr-wrd if he tried t change smething.
Grwing up, my favrite bk was Ray Bradbury’s Smething Wicked This Way Cmes. It was a treasure fr an imaginative and lnely child like me. The language was as crisp and sweet as an Octber apple, awakening in me a deep passin fr wrds and the magic they culd bring ut. I’ve reread it regularly and it never fails t satisfy me.
In my adult years, I revisited Emily Brntë’s Wuthering Heights. When I first read it at 16, I perceived it as a lve stry. Hwever, rereading it as an adult, I was struck by hw different it seemed t me, and hw much f the humur I’d missed. Nw I lve its petry. And the lve stry nt nly exists between the characters but between Brntë and the Nrth Yrk Mrs.
James Jyce’s Ulysses was a bk I came back t after 40 years. Initially, at 15, I fund it ugly, depressing, and dull, and I hated it. It tk me fur decades t return t it, and this time, I fund myself understanding and beginning t appreciate it. I culd see the details, the mythic parallels, the references t different writing styles, and the grundbreaking technique.
Thugh sme exceptinal bks can develp and grw alngside us, thers fall by the wayside. I’ve revisited s many childhd favurites nly t find the magic gne, but I’m usually happy t leave the bk behind. I’ve taken frm it what I need.

根据最后一段的“The reasn China has nt achieved 100% electrificatin fr its buses is its nrthern regins, which have cld winters, says Xue Lulu, a transprtatin expert at the Wrld Resurces Institute China.(世界资源研究所(Wrld Resurces Institute China)交通专家薛璐璐说,中国没有实现公交车100%电动化的原因是北方地区冬季寒冷。)” 故选A。
根据第一段的“There are tw distinctive types f electric buses making their way alng Nanjing Xi Lu, ne f Shanghai’s busiest rads.( 南京西路是上海最繁忙的道路之一,有两种不同类型的电动公交车在南京西路行驶。)”和“Widely used acrss China, these buses are key t the cuntry’s EV transitin and are influencing the glbal shift twards green transprtatin.( 这些公交车在中国广泛使用,是中国电动汽车转型的关键,并正在影响全球向绿色交通的转变。)”最后一段的“S far, hwever, the Chinese cities with the mst successful e-bus intrductin — such as Shenzhen, Beijing and Shanghai — all have mderate weather and are relatively flat. T take its e-bus campaign t the next level, China faces challenges.( 然而,到目前为止,引进电动公交车最成功的中国城市——如深圳、北京和上海——都是气候温和、地势相对平坦的城市。

由文章第二段“Interestingly, earwrms aren’t all bad. Research indicates that they can enhance ur ability t recall past events, as the repetitive nature f the sng strengthens ur memry.(有趣的是,耳虫症并不全是坏的。 故选A项。
由文章第一段“I hated it a lt when it first came ut years ag, and I still really hate it nw. Why, h why, des an earwrm happen? 以及第三段“Despite these strategies, smetimes the best apprach is t simply accept the presence f the earwrm and let it fade away naturally.(尽管有这些策略,有时最好的方法是简单地接受耳虫症的存在,让它自然消失。)”

16.前文“Dwn cmfrters (羽绒被) are frightening pieces t wash. They’re huge, expensive and filled with delicate material.
17.根据前文“Whichever remver (去污剂) yu chse, please remember (无论你选择哪种去污剂,请记住)”和后文“Usually, this will invlve spraying them, twisting and rubbing t push the spt treatment int the fabric.( 通常,这将包括喷洒、拧转和摩擦,以推动斑点处理进入织物)”可知,此处讲述了无论哪种去污剂,都要按照具体步骤使用,因此推断C项“严格按照瓶子上的说明使用”符合语境,下文详细解释如何使用。故填C。
18.根据后文“Then lad yur cmfrter int the washing machine, and run it thrugh a delicate cycle with cld r warm water. Wash it a secnd time n a quick cycle t clean frm the dwn inside.( 然后把你的被子放进洗衣机,用冷水或温水进行一个精细的循环。
19.前文“Yu dn’t want t ck the dwn with high heat and damage it, thugh.( 不过,你也不想用高温把它煮熟,损坏它吧)”说明高温会损坏羽绒被,后文“and remve it frm the dryer thrughut the cycle (every 20 minutes r s) t redistribute and fluff the dwn fill.
20.空处为段落小标题,根据后文“A gd cleaning every few years will help yur cmfrter last a lng time, but yu’ll still want t refresh a deflated cmfrter between washes. Use the dryer fr abut an hur every three t fur weeks t kill dust mites and dry ut any misture. Lw heat is ideal. T address dust mites, use high heat fr 20 minutes and then lwer the heat fr the rest f the cycle.
