In 1983, Ski Rixen USA became the first water ski cable park in the United States. Lcated in Deerfield Beach, Flrida, the park ffers riders a chance t experience all kinds f water sprts.
In the past 40 years, Six Rixen USA has welcmed mre than 1.5 millin visitrs. The park was the brainchild f engineer Brun Rixen. Brn in 1931 in Germany, Rixen grew frustrated with the sprt f water skiing, which required pulling by a mtr bat.

Althugh the weather frecast was perfect, with n winds r snw, there was still a general feeling f nervusness when we set ut. The grup sn climbed and my legs felt heavy. Being the weakest member f the grup, I had t rest mre frequently. The thers smetimes stpped fr a break t let me catch up. After 200 meters, we reached the beginning f Twer Ridge, the path that wuld take us t the tp f Ben Nevis. After seven hurs f climbing, we reached the tp. On a clear day, yu can see the sea and right acrss it t the island f Skyey. On Ben Nevis, getting back t camp can be as much f a challenge as ging up. Yu need t be able t read a map prperly — a wrng turn wuld lead t dangerus places t g dwn in winter. When I finally came back t the tent, I culdn’t say I really enjyed the experience, but at least I made it t the tp.
