    Step 1: Pre-reading
    1. Greetings.
    Greet the students. Divide them int several grups. The grup can get mre pints if they act bravely, actively and are pen-minded in class.
    2. A stry—The Race Between Trtise and Hare. ①
    (1) Present the bk cver f this stry. (课件出示:《龟兔赛跑》的图片及race的相关内容) We all knw the stry f The Race Between Trtise and Hare. Highlight the wrd “race”. Read and learn the new wrd. Guess its meaning accrding t the picture.
    (2)T: There were s many animals. They were watching the race. The hare ran…, but the trtise was…
    Ss: fast, slw.
    Present the ppsite wrds “fast” and “slw”. Use tw GIF pictures t highlight their ppsite meanings. (课件出示:动图对比fast和slw)
    (3)T: Wh wn the race in the end?
    Ss: The trtise.
    T: Why? We knw the hare culd run faster.
    Ss: Because the hare slept and had a dream during the race.
    T: Oh, dear! What a dream! The dream made the hare failed the race.
    Present the wrd “dream”. Students read and learn the new wrd. (课件出示:dream的相关内容)
    (4)T: Hw did the hare feel when he lst the race?②
    Ss: He felt sad/unhappy/angry…
    Present the wrds “feel—felt”. (课件出示:felt的相关内容) Students learn the new wrd.

    Ss: I feel sad/fine/OK…
    T: I think it’s OK t lse a race. We will get a secnd chance ne day. We can try harder next time.

    利用同学们熟知的故事《龟兔赛跑》,借助图片和语境,引导学生理解和学习race, fast, slw, dream, felt。为下面即将学习的语篇扫清部分阅读障碍。

    结合上述教学活动的语言情境,引出陆地上速度最快的动物猎豹。创设其他动物与猎豹赛跑的情境,让学生猜测参赛动物是否会对比赛感到非常担忧,进而引出生活中是否有让学生自己感到忧虑的事,进而导入吴斌斌的忧虑之事。
    Step 2: While-reading
    1. Predict the dream.④
    Present the pictures f “Read and write”. Ask students t lk at them and the predict. (课件出示:Read and write板块的相应图片)
    T: Smething wrried Wu Binbin, t. He felt very wrried. But it was nt in real life. It was in his dream. What did Wu Binbin dream abut? Predict what made him wrried.
    Ss: He dreamed he had a race with his father./He dreamed he ran very slwly…

    观察图片,预测情节,激活故事背景相关的词汇和表达。培养学生的观察能力和逻辑思维能力。
    2. Fast reading.⑤
    Students read the passage as quickly as they can. Find ut what made Wu Binbin wrried. Number the pictures and then check the answers with the teacher. (课件出示:Read and write板块第二部分的图片、练习及答案)

    Students read the passage again. Try t understand in detail this time.

    T: Wh was in the first race?
    S1: Wu Binbin, his father, Max and many peple were in the first race.
    T: What happened?
    S2: His father ran very fast, but Wu Binbin culdn’t.
    T: Hw did Wu Binbin feel?
    S3: He was/felt s wrried.
    (2) Students read the secnd paragraph.
    T: Wh helped Wu Binbin?
    S1: Rbin.
    T: What happened when Rbin gave him sme water?
    S2: Suddenly he felt gd. He culd run fast again.
    Present the new wrd “suddenly”. Students read the wrd after the recrding and learn t read in syllables. (课件出示:suddenly的相关内容)
    (3) Students read the third paragraph.
    T: Wh was in the secnd race?
    S1: Wu Binbin and sme animals were in the race.
    T: Hw did Wu Binbin run this time?
    S2: He ran like a cheetah. He culd win the race!
    T: But did he win the secnd race?
    Ss: N.
    T: Why?
    S3: Because suddenly he tripped and fell.
    Present the wrds “trip—tripped” and “fall—fell”. Students learn the new wrds. (课件出示:tripped和fell的相关内容)
    T: What happened after he tripped?
    Ss: He wke up.
    Present the new wrd “wake—wke”. (课件出示:wke的相关内容) Students learn the new wrd.

    Students listen t the recrding and read the stry. Pay attentin t the prnunciatin and the intnatin. Try t read crrectly, fluently and emtinally. Learn the key sentences after reading and be able t understand them well. (课件出示:Read and write板块的原文内容)
