They gruped the nearly 50,000participants int fur cmparative grups accrding t average steps per day. The lwest step grup averaged 3,500 steps; the secnd,5,800; the third,7,800; and the furth, 10,900steps per day. Amng the three higher active grups, there was a 40-53% lwer risk f death,cmpared t the lwest step grup.
