Earth Hur is a glbal event held n the last Saturday f March every year. It calls n peple t turn ff their lights and ther electrical appliances(电器) like cmputers fr ne hur. In this way, peple can pay mre attentin t climate change and realize the imprtance f saving ur planet. Earth Hur first started in 2007 in Sydney and many cities arund the wrld fllwed its lead in the fllwing year. On March 28th, 2009, up t 88 cuntries and 4 000 cities participated(参加) in it. Frm 8:30 pm t 9:30 pm n that day, many cities in China such as Beijing, Dalian and Hangzhu als tk part in the activity. It seems t be a dark wrld when the lights are turned ff. Peple are trying t d smething special t prtect the envirnment thrugh such a beautiful “dark mment”.
