The mvement f dust has been increasing in recent years because f lnger perids withut rain in Africa. Frm February t April, the dust settles in Suth America. Frm June t Octber, the winds change and transprt the dust t Nrth America, Central America and the Caribbean. Mre than half f the dust that reaches the United States settles in the state f Flrida. Fr many years, it has caused the skies there t turn red. There is prbably a link between the dust strms and the higher rates f breathing prblems in peple in this area.
