Gd evening, everyne. I recently learnt Arabic in Cair as part f my degree. My interest in the language was due t the passin f ur Arabic lecturer and as the curse prgressed, my interest in the culture als grew with it. I cnsidered studying in the Middle East, but ultimately decided n Cair due t its energetic cultural scene.
Hwever, in the city, we faced sme challenges, including difficulties finding a htel and accmmdatin as we were a grup f unmarried individuals. Once settled, the culture shck was intense fr sme f us. One member f ur grup returned hme within the first week. Luckily I became accustmed t the life in Cair gradually.
The biggest challenge f learning Arabic is the discnnectin between the written and the spken frms.
Despite these challenges, learning Arabic has been a rewarding experience, including absrbing myself in the culture and getting t knw the lcals and even negtiating at a lcal market. Highlights were being invited t a traditinal Arabic meal at ne f the lcals’ hme and being able t cnfidently cmmunicate.
Overall, this experience was utside f my cmfrt zne and allwed me t learn and grw in interesting ways. I encurage thers t cnsider invlving themselves in new cultures and languages. Thanks fr listening.

比较四个酒店的开业时间,只有Maria提到”…since it met the public last mnth”,其它三个酒店均未开业,故选B。
Fr all t lng, there’s nly been rm fr ne famus htel n Dublin’s Merrin Square.”
Well, I’d always thught f myself as a cultured persn, but my bkshelves tld a rather different stry.”
25. C 细节题。根据第三、四段,尤其是 “… giving me privileged glimpses(初步的感受)f sme remarkable imaginary wrlds.”
26. D 细节题。根据第五段 “Wrestling with unfamiliar ideas can help clarify my wn thinking and shw up blind spts in the way I might have been lking at the wrld”可知,”想方设法理解我不熟悉的观点,可以帮助我澄清自己的思维,发现自己看待世界的方式中可能存在的盲点。”
第二段阐述DMN寻找潜在威胁,并通过举例来说明, “The peple wh lve and supprt us give us psitive feedback. Thse cmments dn’t capture the DMN’s interest. The persn wh criticizes yu? Nw yu have the DMN’s attentin. The ne wh ttally rejected yu? Let’s get the ppcrn”。 “Let’s get the ppcrn” 可以理解为 “take a seat, have sme ppcrn and watch the shw.”, 表示吃瓜等好戏。
由文章第三段 “We are s used t perfrming scial graces that we ften dismiss psitive feedback cming back t us as curtesy(礼貌), nt truth.”
根据第二段 “Retr is nly the secnd species f primate…” 可知它的成功代表了克隆技术的巨大进步,故B正确;根据第二段 “…the efficiency is very lw cmpared t fertilized embrys”可知它并非来源于受精胚胎,故C错误;D选项文章并未提及。
根据第四段 “T address this prblem, they perfrmed a prcess…which invlved putting clned inner cells int a nn-clned embry…”
