There is a little weed (野草) that grws in a field. All arund it stand tall, beautiful flwers. The weed didn’t like them in the past, fr its wn flwers were tiny and cmmn.

Last week a fire happened in Rapa Nui Natinal Park n Chile’s Easter Island. The fire caused serius damage (损坏) t several f the large, ancient stne statues (雕像) that the island is famus fr.
Easter Island is hme t abut 900 large stne statues. The large statues were created ver 500 years ag by the Rapa Nui peple. There are still many questins abut hw they were able t create, mve,and stand up such statues.
Hundreds f stne statues are standing near the Ran Raraku vlcan (火山) inside Rapa Nui Natinal Park. The area has been named by the United Natins as an area that’s imprtant t prtect. Sadly, that’s als where the fire was the strngest.
A fire spread quickly thrugh the Rapa Nui Natinal Park n Octber 4. Park wrkers and firefighters wrked fr hurs. But the fire spread easily thrugh the grassland arund the area. It wasn’t until late the next day that the fire was brught under cntrl. The park says it didn’t have enugh vlunteers t fight the fire mre quickly.
Experts (专家) are still examining, but it’s clear that the fire has damaged sme f these stne statues.
The cause f the fire isn’t knwn yet. But Mr Edm unds Paa, the mayr f Easter Island, believes the fire didn’t start naturally. “All the fires n Rapa Nui are caused by humans,” he said. He believes the island needs mre gvernment supprt t be able t deal with situatins like this ne.
