In clnial (殖民的) times, the midday meal — "dinner" — was the largest ne, while "supper" was a smaller evening meal. That changed during the Industrial Revlutin. 3 Labrers wh were nt paid fr their lunchtime began t eat a quick, lighter meal at midday, mving dinner t the end f the day as the main family meal. Fr families f all sciecnmic levels, evening autmatically became the time when everyne wuld be back at hme tgether. Dinnertime started t be an imprtant ccasin.
