A Chinese fashin designer, Gu Pei, uncvered her exhibitin Fashin, Art, Fantasy at the Auckland Art Gallery n Dec.9. The six-mnth exhibitin will shw ver 60 wrks frm Gu’s tw-decade-lng career, inviting New Zealanders t experience the charm f her art.
The exhibitin nt nly displays Gu’s representative masterpiece, The Yellw Queen Gwn and Outfits never seen befre in any ther gallery r museum, but als features a series f unique public events, including an interview with the artist, the Chinese New Year Festival and a fashin fantasy ball.
“It is an hnur t present the great wrk f Gu Pei t New Zealand, fr the very first time,” says Kirsten Lacy, directr f the Auckland Art Gallery.
