    Muntain Kilimanjar, ne f the nature wnders f the wrld, is lcated in Tanzania and is Africa’s highest muntain. It is the largest free-standing muntain in the wrld, meaning it is nt part f a muntain range. The grand snw-capped peaks f Kilimanjar have lng captured the wrld's imaginatin. Thusands have travelled t Tanzania t climb the muntain, r t view its famus glacier-cvered peaks. In 1889, German gegrapher Hans Meyer and Austrian reached the summit. Since then, the muntain has becme a ppular hiking spt fr lcals and turists. In 1973, the muntain and its six surrunding frest rads were named natinal park in rder t prtect the muntain’s unique and wnderful envirnment. The park was declared a Wrld Heritage Site by the United Natinal Educatinal, Scientific and Cultural Organizatin in 1987. But in the last century the snw n the muntain has been disappearing. The lss f Kilimanjar’s glaciers is remving a surce f water frm the muntain's surrunding area. In additin, it wuld prbably decrease the amunt f turism.
