During this summer hliday, I traveled t Wanning, Hainan, which is knwn as a paradise(天堂)fr surfers. I had been lking frward t this trip fr a lng time because learning t surf is always my dream.
On the first day, the cach taught me sme basic skills. First, push the surfbard int the waves, then lie dwn n the surfbard and wait fr the waves t cme. Finally, when the waves cme, let the surfbard “catch” catchthe waves and try t stand n it.
At first, I culd nt fllw the cach’s instructins f standing up at the right time because I was nervus. I fell int the sea and ended up swallwing a lt f sea water. The cach patiently pinted ut my mistake.
After practicing hard many times, I finally learned hw t stand n the surfbard. When I successfully std up fr the first time with the rushing waves, a huge feeling f achievement filled my heart.
During the twenty days in Wanning, I practised surfing every day. My surfing gt better and better. I als learned anther skill. I used bth hands t rw the water befre standing up. This way, I culd pick up enugh speed t allw the waves t push the surfbard frward. As a result, the cach didn’t need t push my surfbard frward. When I was able t surf alne in the sea, I felt s much excitement and jy.
Nw, surfing makes me feel relaxed. Learning t surf nt nly allwed me t master a new skill, but als made me feel very fulfilled. I als learned that practice makes perfect.
