The Ls Angeles Ddgers cnfirmed his death. He had wrked in the Ddgers frnt ffice since 2012, mst recently as a special assistant t the general manager.
A native f Ls Angeles, Crrales was a backup catcher with fur teams ver a largely rdinary career in the majrs, cmpiling a 216 average with fur hmers and 54 runs batted in ver nine seasns. He made his nly pstseasn appearance as a player with the Cincinnati Reds in the 1970 Wrld Series.
