Animals perfrm tasks that their bdies are well designed fr. That’s because their intelligence evlved(进化)with their physical frm as they interacted with the envirnment. Artificial intelligence is smart as well but it desn’t have a bdy.

Unimals are pretty simple with balls fr heads and cylinders fr anns and legs. The test envirnments came in three varieties: flat areas, areas filled with hills, steps and brken stnes, and areas that had the cmplexities f the secnd srt, but with added bjects that unimals need t mve t a target lcatin.
At first, the unimals were in randm shapes, but with identical sftware running them. In grups f fur, Dr Gupta put them thrugh tests f agility, stability, and ability t cntrl bjects. The prcess repeated and the test ended after ten generatins f evlutin.
The diversity f the unimals’ shapes that evlved surprised the team. Sme had arms as well as legs while thers had nly legs. Crucially, thugh, the researchers fund the mst successful unimals, which evlved in the tughest envirnment, learned tasks faster and better than their ancestrs. 13.What makes the third test envirnment the tughest?
    A.Stnes t be picked.B.Mre steps t be cunted.
    C.Objects t be mved.D.Higher hills t be climbed.
    14.What’s Paragraph 4 mainly abut?
    A.The test prcedure.B.The running sftware.
    C.The unimals’ varieties.D.The winners’ mutatins.
15.Why is the Baldwin effect mentined in Paragraph 5?
