读写部分的内容围绕3R环保原则和环保标语等话题展开。第一篇课文的语篇类型为说明文，是一则有关3R环保原则的宣传页。首先，引导学生带着问题阅读课文，理解语篇基本信息。之后，引导学生通过补充图表，对语篇内容进行归纳，并联系自己的实际情况思考垃圾处理的途径。第二篇课文的语篇类型为应用文，内容展示了生活中常见的环保标志牌和宣传语。通过引导学生设计环保标志牌、思考如何运用3R原则处理生活中的垃圾等活动，激发学生学习英语的兴趣，提高语言综合运用能力。

1. Can correctly understand and read the words and sentences related to garbage disposal, read the popular science expositories (publicity page) introducing the 3R principle of garbage disposal, and can introduce the common ways of garbage disposal in English.
2. It can analyze the discourse structure and language characteristics of popular science expositations, and sort out and present the 3R principle of garbage disposal in an orderly way.
3. It can practice the 3R principle of waste disposal, reduce waste discharge, and form the awareness and habit of emission reduction and environmental protection.
4. Can use reading strategies, such as prediction, skimming and scanning, to complete language tasks; adopt appropriate learning methods, such as using icons and mind mapping to organize ideas, expand thinking, present information, and develop good English learning habits.

Organization

1. Greet the students and divide them into four groups.

    Good morning, boys and girls. It’s nice to see you again. How are you doing today ?

Revision

1. Homework review. The students present their measures to improve air quality. 

检查作业，学生展示讨论结果,激励学生通过协商讨论，共同学习，并由改善空气质量、保护环境自然过渡到本课话题。

New Lesson

Task 1: Pre-reading

1. The teacher shows the students some pictures of waste  and ask them to answer the question:

Q1: If waste is not dealt with properly, what will happen?

2. The students read the leaflet quickly and try to answer the first 2 questions in Activity One.

Task 2 : While-reading

1. The students read the leaflet quickly and try to answer the first 2 questions in Activity One.

Q1: What’s the leaflet about?  

A: How to sort waste.

B: How to deal with waste.

Q2: Do you know how to deal with waste?

2. The students scan the leaflet, and then work in groups to brainstorm some examples of how to deal with waste to answer the 3rd question in Activity One.

3. The students read again，analyze the text structure and complete the mind map in Activity Two.

4. The students listen to the text recording and underline the key words and expressions.
5. According to the mind map and key words, the students try to retell the text.

利用垃圾图片引发思考，导入话题，激活背景知识，领悟垃圾处理的重要性和必要性。

通过阅读环保宣传单，训练学生快速阅读的能力，引导学生关注文本结构和主题段落，抓住文本主题。
