    Step 1: Warm-up & Revisin & Lead-in①
    1. Greetings.
    2. Revisin.
    Help students review the letter cmbinatin “w” in Unit 3 and let students give examples by the game “Drive a train”.
    3. Enjy the chant.
    Play the recrding f the chant in this lessn. (出示课件) Let students listen t it and feel abut the prnunciatins f the letter cmbinatin “”.
    4. Lead-in.
    Shw the cntent f the chant in this lessn. (出示课件) Put the wrd cards f “z” “lk” “t” and “ftball” n the blackbard. Mark all the letter cmbinatins “” in red clur. Then play the recrding f the chant in this lessn again. (出示课件) Ask students t listen carefully and divide the wrd cards n the blackbard int tw grups.
    After students listen t the recrding, lead students t put the tw wrd cards “lk” and “ftball” in Grup One, and put the tw wrd cards “z” and “t” in Grup Tw. Lead students t read them several times, and help students try t get a preliminary understanding f the tw kinds f prnunciatins f the letter cmbinatin “”.

    Ask students t find ut the wrds cntaining the letter cmbinatin “”. These wrds are “bk, balln, gd, fd, ndles, t”. Ask students t try t read them by themselves.
    (2) Shw all the wrds cntaining the letter cmbinatin “” in the tw chants. They are “bk, lk, ftball, gd, balln, fd, z, ndles, t”. (出示课件) Ask students t try t divide these wrds int the tw grups and write dwn the answers in their wn exercise bks.
    2. Put the wrds int the right grup.
    (1) Shw the eight pictures f “Read, listen and chant” n the PPT. (出示课件) Ask sme students t read the wrds accrding t the pictures ne by ne. The thers listen carefully and check the prnunciatins and pay attentin t the prnunciatins f the letter cmbinatin “”.
    (2) Play the recrding f “Read, listen and chant”. (出示课件) Ask students t listen carefully and read after the recrding. Then ask students t check if the previus gruping is crrect after listening and reading.
    (3) Check the gruping result tgether. Take ut the wrd cards. Put the wrd cards f “bk” and “gd” in Grup One, and put the wrd cards f “balln” “fd” and “ndles” in Grup Tw. Mark all the letter cmbinatins “” in red clur.
    3. Learn the prnunciatins.
    (1) Lead students t read these wrds in the tw grups ne by ne. Help students try t cnclude the right prnunciatin f the letter cmbinatin “” in each grup. Encurage students t say their pinins.
    (2) Shw the phnetic symbls /ʊ/ and /u:/ n the PPT. (出示课件) Explain the prnunciatin skills briefly. Lead students t read the phnetic symbls several times. Take ut the wrd cards f these phnetic symbls. Lead students t put them in the right grup. Put the phnetic symbl /ʊ/ in Grup One. Put the phnetic symbl /u:/ in Grup Tw.

    (2) Shw sme wrds cntaining the letter cmbinatin“”, such as ftball, gd, bk, lk, ck, ndles, z, balln, fd. (出示课件) Ask students t say mre wrds. Let students chse sme wrds t make sentences. Then make a mdel like this: Lk! It is a gd bk.
    Ask several students t say their sentences. Each ne f them can get a sticker as an award.

    Shw the cntent f “Listen, circle and say”. (出示课件) Ask students t read all the wrds accrding t the prnunciatin rules. Then play the recrding.(出示课件)Let students listen and circle the wrds they heard.
    Check the answers tgether. Present the listening material and let students read the wrds again. (出示课件)
    3. Lk, listen and write.
    Shw the pictures f“Lk, listen and write”. (出示课件) Let students bserve the pictures carefully and get t knw the listening tasks. Then play the recrding. (出示课件) Let students listen and fill in the blanks.
    Check the answers tgether. Shw the listening material and the answers. (出示课件) Help students understand this sectin better. Ask students t pay attentin t their spellings and crrect the mistakes.
    Let students chse ne sentence frm abve and write it n the line. Lead students t write the sentence in the crrect and standard frm. Ask several students t shw their sentences. Check the writing tgether.
