Module 6 Unit 2 The name of the spaceship is Shenzhou V.

一、教材分析：

本课选自外研社出版的《新标准英语》第十二册第六模块第二单元。学习谈论科学技术，讨论礼物，了解中外航天技术的发展，通过学习课文激发学习的兴趣，引导学生注意互送礼物的重要性在于心意，不在于是否贵重。通过本单元的学习激发学生用英语描述自己喜爱的礼物的欲望，提高英语口语生活化。本课为巩固活动课。

二、学生分析：

让学生掌握如何用英语谈论科学技术和礼物，因为本课内容与学生们的学习生活息息相关，而且学生们热衷于谈论自己的礼物和喜欢的东西，所以以谈论礼物为题开展话题能激发学生的学习兴趣。通过学习本模块增强学生口语表达能力，树立学习的自信心。

三、课题：The name of the spaceship is Shenzhou V.

四、教学目标及要求：

知识目标：能听懂，会说本课单词及目标语句，并能问答。

词汇：model  taikonaut  national  flag  seed

目标语句：The name of the spaceship is Shenzhou V.

能力目标：能运用已学语言介绍礼物或描述自己喜欢的物品，培养学生运用句型进行实际操练的能力。

情感目标：体会到学习英语的乐趣，谈论科学技术、礼物等自己喜欢的话题。

五、教学重点：进一步强化复习一般过去时的运用。

六、教学难点：正确描述自己或他人收到的礼物。

七、教学方法：情境法、任务教学法、TPR教学法。

学法指导：在教师的指导下掌握听的技巧提高自己的听力水平，鼓励学生大胆表达，树立学习的自信心。

教法指导：利用学生感兴趣的话题展开本课内容的学习，激发学生学习欲望，通过展示大名和西蒙对太空旅行的热爱，以及介绍中国航天事业的飞速发展，激发学生的学习兴趣，利用不同的课堂活动练习巩固语言点，使学生在自己的学习成果中体验学习的快乐。

九：教学过程：

1. Warmer:

Greeting: Hello, boys and girls.

II. Lead in:

1. Look , listen and say.

Yesterday was Daming’s birthday . He got lots of presents. And today , his friend gives him a present , too. Let’s look . What is it ? OK? There are two questions. Please read them together.

① What’s the present?

② Why is it special?

Now, let’s watch the video. Try to find out the answers.

2. Listen and answer.

① What’s the present?

It’s a special toy.

② Why is it special?

It’s a model of the alien.

Do you know “model”? It’s a small copy of something. Look ,this is a model of a car, it’s small than real car, right? Look , this is a model of the alien——meas a small copy of the alien

Now let’s make sentences to use this phrase and pictures. Who can try?

It’s a model of a plane.

It’s a model of a train.

It’s a model of a ship.

III. Presentation.

1. Task.

  Talk about presents.

2. Show and read the questions.

Yesterday was Daming’s birthday. Daming got a book about space travel from Simon’s mum. Daming and Simon are very interested in space travel. So they decided to make a present for her. What present did they make ? Let’s look. OK?

3. Read the questions.

There are four questions about the text. Now let’s read them out.

① What did Daming and Simon make?

② What’s the name of the spaceship?

③ When did it take a taikonaut into space for the first time?

④ What else did it make?

Do you know “taikonaut”? It means “太空人”.

Show two pictures (Chinese taikonaut and Americen astronaut) and compare the differences of “taikonaut ”and “astronaut”. Tell the students the space traveller in China is called “taikonaut”, but in America is called “astronaut”. In different countries called different way.

   4. Watch and find out the answers.

  ① They made a model of a Chinese spaceship.

  ② Shenzhou V.

  ③ In 2003.

  ④ It took the national flag of China and some seeds.

Show the pictures and say the national flag of China / the national flag of Russia /  the national flag of America .

Look at the word “seed”, pay attention to the pronunciation of “ee”—— /i:/. And write some words on the whiteboard. Eg：see , bee , meet , need.

To tell the students to remember the pronounce of “ee”.

5.  Listen and repeat.

 Now let’s listen again. And you should repeat.

     6. This time please read the text by yourselves for three times.

OK? Ready ? Go !

     IV. Practice

  1. Let’s review.

 Now let’s review. Look at the blackboard. Show some pictures and

some key words on the blackboard ,then let the students retell the text according to them.

     2. Practice by themselves.

     3. Retell the text. Call two students to retell the text.

     4. Watch a video about spaceships of China .( The video is from myself.）

     Do you want to know more about the spaceships of China ? Let’s watch a video and to know more about it ,OK?

Now our country is very strong .As a Chinese person ,I’m very proud of our country. In the future ,I hope you can be a taikonaut ,and I will be proud of you . OK?

5. Activity 3.

Now let’s finish activity 3 . What did they do yesterday? Please

write the answers on your books. Who can come to the front and write the answers? Call one students write on the whiteboard.

Then check the answers and read them .

   6. Learn to sing a song.

First time , just listen. Second time let’s listen , sing and do the actions.

  V. Consolidation

1. Do and guess.

Now let’s play a game. I will cover someone’s eyes and let her guess the present. First I will give you a model ,then you can practice in pairs. You can use the sentences : I bought you a present .What is it ? Please guess. Did you buy me a ......?

2. The students practice in pairs.
3. Call some students to come to the front and act .
4. Do a survey.

   Think of questions for a survey about birthday presents. And talk about in groups . Then write them on your papers.

   Call two groups to come to the front and show their answers.

VI. Summary

   What have we learnt today？Today we learnt some words : model , taikonaut , national , flag ,seed. And the sentence is : The name of the spaceship is Shenzhou V.

Think about what presents you can send to your classmates or your teachers? Why?
