In the final match of this year's World Chess Championship (冠军赛)，China's Ding Liren beat Russian-born Lan Nepomniachtchi. He is now the world chess champion. In China, chess is not very popular. So, how did Ding be a star in this sport?

James and Thomas Lindesay are British brothers in Beijing. Last year, it took them months to visit the Great Wall in China on foot. The two started from the Jiayuguan in Gansu on July 15th. Their Great Wall trip is 3,263 kilometers.

The brothers' interest in traveling the Wall came from their father, William Lindesay. William was born in 1956 in the UK and had a dream of visiting the Great Wall from an early age. In 1987, he went on a trip there. After that, William married a Chinese woman and lived in Beijing. Do you think backpacks are important for students? Do you think backpacks are useful? You may say yes. But a lot of schools in America are banning (禁止) backpacks in class now. Here are some reasons (理由).
