Teaching aims(教学目标)
1. 能够用不同的形容词表达自己的爱好。
2. 能够掌握更多的电视节目名称。
Language points(语言点)
要求掌握以下句式:What do you think of …?
It’s/They are …
2.要求掌握以下词汇:
1) 名词n. action movie, cartoon
2) 形容词adj. meaningless, enjoyable
(本节课的生词较少,而且单词的拼写比较简单,所以学生学起来不会感到困难,如果班级学生的水平较高,可以鼓励学生当堂掌握。
Teaching steps(教学步骤)
1. Warm-up and revision(课堂热身和复习)
(1)Brainstorm(自由对话的形式开始课堂)
T: What kind of TV shows and movies can you think of?
S: …
T: What can you use to describe them?
Have Ss look at the screen and get into groups of four. Then ask them to write as many adjectival words they can think of to describe TV shows and movies in five minutes. The group with the most words wins!
(通过头风暴和小组竞赛形式激发学生的思考欲,同时激发组内合作和组间竞争的意识,在小组呼唤思考结果完善自己的思考结果时,又利用了信息差的特点。)
2. Work on 1a.
Choose words from the box and write them under the pictures. Each picture can have more than one word.
(这个环节的主要教学目标是让学生基础更多的描述性的形容词,扩大了词汇量,为后面的对话和综合调查做好了词汇的铺垫。)
3. Work on 1b.
T: Listen and circle the description words you hear in the box in 1a.
4. Work on 1c.
T: Listen again. Write down the words John and Mary use to describe the TV shows and movies.
(这个环节可以让学生整体感知如何用形容词来表达自己的喜好,为下面的对话做好铺垫。)
5. Work on 1d.
Tell your partner what John and Mary like to watch and why. Then tell your partner what you like to watch and why.
(这个环节是充分的利用了听力材料,同时也是一个从听到说的过程,并结合自身给出真实的回答,尽量说出合理的理由)
6. Group work
Have Ss get into groups of four and ask each other about what they think of the TV shows or movies on the screen. Encourage them to use descriptive words (adjectives).
(给学生提供了交流的机会,同时了帮助学生巩固了用本节课所学的用形容词来表达喜好,鼓励更多的学生分享他们的调查报告,有利于提高学生的口语表达能力。)
7. Homework

Read the conversation in 1b aloud.
Written:
Write a report about your group discussion.
