Teaching procedures Activity One:play a game:T:If you think it is safe,say “Green man, go!”If you think it is not safe,say “Red man, stop!”Let’s listen and judge.(设计意图: 让学生学会判断是否安全,是否符合交通规则,培养学生遵守交通规则的意识。)Look and sayT:How can you cross the road safely?Here are some tips for you.Ready?Try to say as much as you can.(设计意图:复习story time,让学生进一步掌握如何安全通过马路,为grammar time和fun time 学习铺垫。)Activity Two:1.Read and learnT: Read and find. How can you cross the road safely?What must you (not) do on the road?特殊疑问词+情态动词+主语+动词词组?T: How to use “must/mustn’t/can/can’t”?情态动词+动词原型(设计意图:通过观察和朗读例句思考情态动词的用法,初步了解must/can的区别。)2.Read and circle(完成书上P44 Check out time)T:Work in pairs.What are the differences between “must” and “can”?1. must表示“必须”,语气要比can要强;2. mustn’t 有“禁止”“不许”的意思。 3. can 表示“可以”,can’t 表示“不可以”。(设计意图: 学生通过完成习题的操练,了解动词must/can的含义和用法的区别。)3. Each student write a traffic rule. Stick it on the paper ,make a proposal of your group.(设计意图: 一人一句,书写交规,发出倡议,最终形成小组的倡议书。此环节可能有一定困难,要让学生充分讨论,允许学生翻阅词典。) 3.Show timeChoose one way to show your proposal.(设计意图: 用自己喜欢的形式展示倡议书,让学生感受到自己是真正的交通规则的遵守者和维护者。) Activity Four:SummaryT: What have we learned today? Look at the blackboard and try to make a summary.
